Walking in love can make you condescend to a lower level just to make things right and smooth but not to compromised standards, truth and God’s commandments.

In Relationship

As a Christian, you must walk in love towards those you are in relationship with. Such as:

  • Your brethren in Christ,
  • Your siblings and parents,
  • Your neighbours, and
  • Business partners and associates.

It is written that Christians should show love to everyone, especially those who are in the household of faith – Galatians 6:10.

To walk in love is to know God, because God is love – 1 John 4:7-8.

In Seeking the Truth

Certainly, when you seek the truth sincerely, you will find it. When you know the truth, it shall make you free – John 8:32.

When you walk in truth, you are also walking in love. How do you walk in truth?

To walk in truth is to keep the commandments or the word of God – 2 John 1:6. The Word of God is Truth – John 17:17.

So, by walking in the word of God, you are definitely walking in truth through the love of God. It is written that you should love your God with all your heart, mind and soul – Matthew 22:37.

When you eventually do this, you are said to walk in love (reciprocating the love of God), and in truth (keeping the commandment of God). Because the love of God has compared you to walk in His truth.

Therefore, dear friends, and brethren, to walk in love is to reciprocate the love of God by showing love (agape) to other people arounds us, especially the brethren in the Lord.
